There are many different
FTP applications that can be
used for uploading files to
a web server. You can
find most of them by doing a
search in your favorite
search engine for "FTP
software."
The following
settings will be required to
use FTP with our service.
- For Remote "Server",
"Host", "Host Name" etc.
Enter your IP address,
which is 209.97.214.18.
Once your domain is
properly registered to
point to this system's
name servers, you can
use ftp.yourdomain.com.
- If you have the
option, "Host Type"
should be "Auto detect".
- If you have the
option, "Transfer Type"
should be "Auto".
Note: some cgi programs
such as perl scripts
should be
uploaded/downloaded
using ASCII text.
- Enter your sites
Login name for the "User
ID".
- Enter your sites
Password for "Password".
- Do not select
"Anonymous Login".
- Leave "Initial
Directories", "Remote
Directories" etc. blank.
- The "Port" should be
"21".
- Use the default
settings for the rest of
available options.
